NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year by UPSC.

This Entrance Exam will let the candidates to be placed in the following defence services
-Army wing
-Navy wing
-Air Force wing

If you have completed 12th standard from recognized board with science department you are applicable for NDA exam.Commerce and arts student are applicable for only Indian Army branch.

But your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.there is no age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Only unmarried male candidate are applicable for NDA exam.You must have citizenship of India.

INFORMATION ABOUT NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY

N.D.A exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.
In month of August and April every year.
If the anyone want to apply they can apply after passing 12th with any stream like Science, Arts, Commerce etc from recognized University.

The age limit for N.D.A exam is 16.5-19 year.

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

**12th pass or appearing candidate are also eligible for apply.
**only unmarried male candidate eligible.

12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of school Education, or equivalent.

Am giving how to join in NDA and what is eligibility for this NDA exam. NDA examination is a way to Join Defence just after completing his Intermediate examination, those who are interested to Join Army, Navy and Air force wings may apply for NDA Examination, this examination is conducted by UPSC, two times in a year.

NDA Examination is only for Unmarried male candidates only, Girls are not eligible for NDA because girls are not fit as compared to boys at the age of 16.5 to 19 years. Training in NDA is also very tough and girls are not fit for NDA Training, so this is the main reason that girls are not eligible for NDA exam.

Eligibility Criteria :

You must be an Indian.

You must have qualified the 12th standard examination or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.

Final year candidates and those who are awaiting results may also apply

The age limit is 16.5 years to 19 years.

You must be an unmarried male candidate.

You must be physically fit.

NDA exam is conducted twice every year. If you want to appear for this exam you have to fill a form available on the UPSC site or you can contact a internet cafe for this and you will be charged a amount of rupees 150 for this. Then you will be given a roll number for this and you have to appear for the exam with the roll number given. Best of luck.

If you are pursuing your final year intermediate or have passed your intermediate,then the NDA exam scheduled to be conducted by the UPSC is excellent career to work in ARMY or NAVY or AIR FORCE .
NDA exam is conducted by the UPSC during April and August.Notifications will be released during Nov or December .
Age: 16-18 at the time of writing exam
Academic Qualification: passed 10+2 or in the final year in any discipline
Sequence of steps to be followed:
1.
fill the upsc application form and forward it to upsc authorities
2.
After receiving the hall ticket appear for the exam
3.
Receive results through the National Dailies after appriximately three process
4.
Interview and medical test
5. Having finally selected, join the NDA at Khadakwasla ,pune for graduation in 3 yrs time with all the expenses taken care off by the govt.

I am really sorry to say that NDA 2013 Notification was out in December and you if havent applied then, the last date for the Application was on 20th January 2013.

If you havent applied for it, then I am really sorry you cannot appear in the NDA 2013 I. But please do not worry. You can always apply for the NDA 2 which would be held in August.
