Rashtriya Indian Military College was established by Ministry of Defense for giving training to male candidates who aspire to join Indian Defense Service. Admission will be given on the basis of an entrance test and interview. Like any other entrance tests, this test also demands certain eligibility requirements for the candidates. Selected candidates will get admission to the 1st standard which is equivalent to eighth standard. As it is a military college, medical fitness of the candidates will be also considered for the admission. Those who get admission to this college can have the benefit of many advantages. One of such advantage is that, the college will provide scholarships for the meritorious students.

Qualifying Examination

To become eligible to apply for the entrance exam of Rashtriya Indian Military College, one should pass the seventh standard exam. Those who are studying in the seventh standard are also eligible to apply for the entrance test. But such candidates should satisfy the required eligibility criteria at the time of admission. Aspirants should have passed their seventh standard exam from a recognized school. It is not necessary that the candidates should obtain specified marks during the seventh standard exam. Only pass marks is enough for the candidates to apply for the entrance test conducted by the Rashtriya Indian Military College.

Who are eligible to apply?

Only male candidates are allowed to apply for the Rashtriya Indian Military College entrance test. Also, age limit is specified to apply for this test. Those who possess minimum 11 ½ years or maximum 13 years are only eligible for this test. Candidates having their age below or above this specification should not be allowed to write the test. Any kind of age relaxation is not given for the candidates on the behalf of reservation. Subjects which are asked during the written test are given below.

After the test, there will be interview for the candidates to test their intelligence. Date and venue of the interview will be informed to the aspirants by the concerned authority. Minimum pass percentage specified for the written test and interview is 50%. Candidates should obtain 50% for each paper separately. Those who have secured this minimum pass percentage will be considered for the admission. Such candidates should undertake a medical test at the specified military hospitals. If they are certified as physically fit during this test, then they can get admission to Rashtriya Indian Military College. Otherwise, they will not get admission to this military college.
