Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited popularly called as APTransco was established in the 1st of February 1999 when the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh State Electricity Board was restructured for looking after transmission of electricity in the state.

Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Junior Assistants (LDC) and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the corporation in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Junior Assistants (LDC)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 16, which is divided among the different districts of the state of AP as follows:

Visakhapatnam – Open – 01, Local – 02

Vijawada - Open – 01, Local – 02

Kadapa - Open – 01, Local – 02

Hyderabad (Metro) - Open – 01, Local – 02

Hyderabad (Rural) - Open – 01, Local – 01

Warangal - Open – 01, Local – 01

Training period: Appointed candidates will be on training for a period of two years from the dates of appointment.

Pay Scale: Rs. 10520-325-12145-400-14145-485-16570-590-19520

Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must be degree holders in arts or commerce or science from any recognized university and they must possess certificate in computer application/office automation from an institution recognized by the AP Government. For candidates, who has studied computer applications as a subject at the degree level, they need not possess computer certification.

Age: To apply for the position of Junior Assistant, candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 36 years of age as on 1st of July 2011. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 10 year for PH and three years for EXS candidates and the period of service offered by them in armed forces.

Cost of application:

All applicants must pay Rs.150 towards application processing fee and in addition general category candidates alone will have to pay Rs.350 towards examination fee thereby making a total of Rs.500 for general category candidates and Rs.150 for reserved category candidates. Fee should be paid through AP online centres before 17th of February 2012.

How to apply:

Candidates will have to apply online either through www.aptransco.gov.in or through http://aptransco.cgg.gov.in/ and the online application will be open from 20th of January 2012 to 17th of February 2012.

Last date to apply online: 17th of February 2012
