Deputy Central Intelligence Officer is one of the reputed profiles in Intelligence Bureau under Ministry of Home Affairs. The professionals working in this department deal with the operation and the maintenance of the cyber security and forensic equipment. The communication network is maintained and supervised by them. The research and development activities related to the field of electronics and communication are usually carried out by the Deputy Central Intelligence Officer. The Union Public Service Commission organizes Deputy Central Intelligence Officer Test whenever the opening arises for the same. By conducting the entrance examination, they recruit the qualified candidates to the above said profile.

Structure for UPSC-Deputy Central Intelligence Officer Test

The examination of Deputy Central Officer Test that is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission is of two hours duration. The medium of the examination will be English only. The test carries a maximum of 100 marks. The entrance test will be objective type in nature that comprises of multiple choices of answers. There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates those who hold any of the following degrees from a reputed University are qualified to appear for the Deputy Central Intelligence Officer Entrance Test.

B.E or B.Tech degree in Electronics Engineering/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Electronics and Tele-communication Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering/Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Computer Science and Engineering/Information Technology

Candidates with Master’s degree in Computer Applications, M.Sc degree in Space Engineering and Rocketry /Bio-Technology/Chemistry or M.Sc degree in Physics with Wireless/Electronics/Optics /Nuclear Physics as one of the subject can also apply for the examination.

In order to apply for this examination, the candidate’s age should be below thirty five years.

How to Apply

The applications for the Deputy Central Officer Intelligence Test can be submitted both as online and offline. There is a common form that has been prescribed for UPSC examinations. The candidate has to specify the name of the examination he wishes to apply. An admit card will be issued to the candidate after the processing of the application forms.  The applicants those who belong to the reserved category have to attach the proof of the same along with the application form.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates can obtain the online applications from http://www.upsconline.nic.in. The procedure for filling the online application forms are explained below. The applicants are advised to follow these guide lines for filling up the applications.

On-line

Before filling the application form, the candidates have to upload a scanned copy of the recent photograph along with the signature in .png format.

The candidates have to submit an amount of Rs.25/- for the application forms in any of the branches of State Bank of India. It can also be done through the internet banking facility of State Bank of India. The application fees can also be paid through Master Credit/ Visa/ Debit Card.

The file size should not exceed 40KB.

Off-line

The candidates those who are submitting the forms offline should be very careful while filling the application form. As these application forms are processed on computerized machines, the candidate should use HB pencils for darkening the circles. The boxes must be filled either with a black or blue ink pen.
