Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited, which is otherwise called as APTransco came into existence in the year 1999 on the 1st of February when the AP State Electricity Board was restructured for taking care of the electricity transmission in the state of AP.

Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has invited applications from eligible candidates for the position of Sub Engineer (Electrical) and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the corporation in this regard:

Name of the Vacancy: Sub Engineer (Electrical)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 339, which is divided among the different districts of the state of AP as follows:

• Visakhapatnam – Open – 20, Local – 47

• Vijawada - Open – 18, Local – 43

• Kadapa - Open – 23, Local – 55

• Hyderabad (Metro) - Open – 15, Local – 34

• Hyderabad (Rural) - Open – 14, Local – 34

• Warangal - Open – 11, Local – 25

Training period: Appointed candidates will be on training for a period of two years from the dates of appointment.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Sub Engineer (Electrical) will be coming under the pay of Rs. 11545-485-13000-650-16250-800-20250-955-23115.

Eligibility requirements:

Candidates must be diploma or degree holders in electrical engineering in addition to diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by the AICTE/DEC/UGC/Government of India/Government of Andhra Pradesh as the case may be.

Age: To apply for the position of Sub Engineer (Electrical), candidates must be between the age group of 18 and 36 years of age as on 1st of July 2011. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 year for PH candidates.

Cost of application:

All applicants must pay Rs.150 towards application processing fee and in addition general category candidates alone will have to pay Rs.350 towards examination fee thereby making a total of Rs.500 for general category candidates and Rs.150 for reserved category candidates. Fee should be paid through AP online centres before 17th of February 2012. Fees once paid will not be refunded to the candidates at any cost.
