Government of Andhra Pradesh established the Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee by conferring it with the responsibility of recruitment of appropriate candidates for government job positions arising in different districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Recruitment by Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee:

Andhra Pradesh District Selection Committee has called for applications from eligible candidates through online from 16th of February 2012 to 17th of March 2012 for recruitment to the position of Language Pandits to work in Mandal Parishad Schools, Zila Parishad Schools, Government schools and schools functioning under the Tribal and Welfare Department of Municipalities in the state of AP and here are the details regarding the notification issued in this regard:

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 1998, which is divided among the different districts of the state of AP as follows:

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Since language pundits are required from different subjects like Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, Oriya, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Bengali and Sanskrit, candidates must have completed their UG degree in appropriate language subject as the main language or UG degree in oriental language with appropriate language subject or its equivalent qualification or a PG degree in appropriate subject with B. Ed in appropriate language subject or Pandit training in appropriate subject.

Age: Lower age limit is 18 years and upper age limit is 39 years as on the 1st of July 2012, the upper age limit for SC/ST candidates is 44 years and for PH candidates, the upper age limit is 49 years.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be done according to their performance in written test, which should be taken up by the candidates only in the district in which they are applying. Date of written test for Language Pandit position in all languages is 2nd of May 2012 from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm.

Application fee:

Applicants will have to pay Rs.250 towards application processing and recruitment test through e-seva or AP Online from 16th of February 2012 to 16th of March 2012.

How to apply:

Applications will be open in the website of http://apdsc.cgg.gov.in from 16th of February 2012 to 17th of March 2012 and online application should be submitted before the last date.
