National Institute of Immunology conducts entrance exam for the admittance of candidates to various Ph.D disciplines. The candidates clearing the entrance exam will be called for interview. Those clearing these two stages will be admitted to the doctoral programme in National Institute of Immunology.

The entrance exam being in written format includes questions as objective types. The exam is mainly aimed at evaluating abilities to comprehend, examine and reason.  There will be general aptitude questions which will have 4 options as answers. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have completed their M.Sc or equivalent qualification in any of the branches of Science are eligible to apply for the Ph.D entrance exam in National Institute of Immunology. Those with M.Tech or M.Pharm or M.V.Sc or M.B.B.S qualification may also apply. Moreover, the candidates should have studied their master’s programme in any of the institutes recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi. They should also attain at least 60% aggregate in all the main examinations from 10+2 level.

How to Apply?

The candidates have to apply for the Ph.D Entrance Exam online from the official website of the University http://www.nii.res.in/. The fee payment has to be done in the form of Demand Draft for Rs. 1,000/- (Rs. 500/- for SC / ST candidates) which is drawn in favor of ‘The Director’, National Institute of Immunology payable at Canara Bank, Jit Singh Marg, New Delhi. The hard copy of completed application form along with the required enclosures have to be sent to Administrative Officer, National Institute of Immunology, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on or before the cut off date.

How to fill the Form?

The aspirants need to fill the form paying intense attention. The candidates’ name and date of birth should be entered precisely the same as that in the Senior Secondary School Certificate. In the hard copy of the completed online form, the candidates have to sign in appropriate places. SC / ST candidates have to provide relevant documentary proof which has to be enclosed. The application form number has to be entered on the rear side of the demand draft. Also make clear that all the essential documents reach the concerned address before the deadline.
