College of Agriculture began its journey in the year 1946 and the college became a constituent unit of the University of Agricultural Sciences located in Bangalore in the year 1964. The college holds the pride of being the torchbearer for all teaching courses under the Agriculture faculty of the University of Agricultural Sciences at Bangalore.

College of Agriculture, has a Bakery training unit, under the Directorate of Extension, which offers a wide range of training courses like:
• Certificate course in Bakery Technology of 14-week duration
• Bakery product preparation course for self-employment and commercial development of 2-4 weeks duration
• Three-day home bakery course for women
• Correspondence course for literature farmers in scientific and paddy cultivation of silk rearing and mulberry sericulture
