Admission Procedure for M.Sc (Agronomy)

Candidates with a minimum of 50% marks in B.Sc (Agriculture) can join the course in Lovely professional University. Admissions are done on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Certain other Universities like Visva Bharati University conduct admission tests for selection process. Students with first class marks in B.Sc (Agriculture) or equivalent can participate in the selection process. Here admission test will be conducted at national level and there will be objective model questions only. Questions for the test will be asked from topics covered under B.Sc (Agriculture) degree. Those who can score at least 30% marks for the admission test can secure admission. In case of OBC candidates, the cut off percentage required is 20.

Sam Higginbottom Institute of Agriculture Technology and Sciences also conducts entrance test for selection. Admission test is conducted as a single paper test covering questions on general aptitude and subject related topics. There will be 40 questions from general aptitude and 120 questions from agriculture related topics. Candidates qualifying the selection test can join the program after personnel interview, certificate verification and other formalities.
