JNTU B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering-Power Systems-I Papers
Power systems is considered one of the important papers of Electrical and Electronics engineering and is covered in the second semester of second year. It lays the basic foundation for other advanced topics and subjects to come in the coming 2 years of the remaining 4 years course.
Power systems I paper pattern
Paper pattern of JNTU B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering-Power Systems-I is very straight forward. You would be required to answer 5 questions out of the given 8 questions. Question paper doesn’t have any sections, parts or groups for that matter and each question carry equal marks.
With power systems, you can expect a lot of numerical questions and at the same time theoretical questions asking you to define or describe can also be expected. No where in the paper would you find any multiple choice or objective questions. Although there are multiple sets of the question paper, but the paper pattern in all of them remains the same.
Time Allotted to complete the paper
You have to answer a total of 5 questions and each of them carry 16 marks, making a total of 80 which is also the full marks of the paper. And for that you have 3 hours in your hand.
Topics That You Should Consider To Give More Time
Distributed systems, tariffs, substations – indoor and outdoor, power plants (advantages and disadvantages) – nuclear and thermal, arrangements of bus bar, moderator, power generation, voltage control etc.
