Vivekanand College was established in the year 2001 and the college came into existence with the mission of offering quality education in different disciplines with management, education, commerce, information technology and computers. The college is affiliated to the South Gujarat University and it is managed by the Abhinav Education Trust, which believes in multi-dimensional development of students that will make them able to serve the nation with their versatile qualities.

Admissions:

BCA: Admission capacity of BCA course is 60 students per year and admission of students to this course is done strictly based on the merit secured by candidates in the qualifying higher secondary course.

B. Ed: As far as B. Ed course is concerned, the minimum eligibility requirement for admission is that candidates must have completed their graduation in commerce, science or arts stream of education and admission is conducted by the centralized committee of the university.  Merit list for admission to this course is prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the degree of PG degree course.

PTC: As far as PTC course is concerned, candidates must have completed their class 12 examination in any stream of education and admission to this course is done on the basis of centralized admission process. Reservation of seats for different category of candidates are done for this course.
