Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha was established under the Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. It was established as a premier institution in the field of higher learning in Sanskrit studies, Pedagogy etc. The institute is funded by the Minsitry of Human Resource Development. The vidyapeetha was established in the year 1961 at Tirupati. The institute was established as an autonomous body under the name of Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth Tirupati Society. The foundation stone of the vidyapeetha was laid by Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. The institute was established with the aim of imparting sanskrit pedagogy.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following vacant positions of Professor and Assistant Professor in Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply. This is a special recruitment drive for Scheduled Caste or Scheuled Tribes or Other Backward Class or Physically Handicapped candidates. Posts of Assistant Professor are available in the disciplines or Mathematics, Education, Vyakarana, Research and Publications, Shaitya- Comparative Aesthetics and Visistadvalita Vedanta.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to strictly follow the age criteria set for the posts of Professor and Assistant Professor in Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. However, the age limit does not apply to the employees of Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. Relaxation in the maximum age limit or upper age limit will be considered only in some deserving cases.

Educational Qualification:

Professsor: Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. degree in the concerned or allied discipline with published work of high quality. Minimum 10 years of teaching or research experience is also required to be possessed by the interested candidates for being eligible for this post.

Assistant Professor: Candidates should possess a good academic record with minimum 50% marks in aggregate at the master’s degree level in the concerned discipline from a recognized university. Candidates should also have passed or cleared the NET conducted by UGC, CSIR.

Pay Scale: Selected canddiates will be given the prescribed salary under Pay Band IV i.e. Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

An application fee of Rs. 150 is need to be paid by the candidates for applying for specified posts in Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha. The payment must be done in the form of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati. PH-VH candidates are exempted from the payment of this application fee.
