Mr. Sudhir Krishna, Secretary of Ministry of Urban Development (Government of India), is the Chairman of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. Mr. N. Sivasailam is the Director of the corporation. The corporation is located at Shantinagar, Bangalore. The corporation is a joint venture of Government of India and Government of Karnataka. The corporation has been entrusted with the responsibility of implementation of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. Bangalore Metro is also known as Nammo Metro and is being made with the aim of increasing the comfort level of people while travelling from one place to another.

Job Profile:

Candidates are invited to apply for the vacant positions of Junior Engineers, Maintainers and Track Maintainers in Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the specified positions. The posts of Junior Engineer are available in the disciplines of Signalling/ Telecommunication/ Automatic Fare Collection, Rolling Stock Maintenance and Permanenet Way. The posts of Maintainers are available in the disciplines of Signalling & Telecommunication/ Automatic Fare Collection, Rolling Stock and Civil Structure Works.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must strictly follow the age criteria set for the posts.

For the posts of Junior Engineer: The maximum age limit set for the posts is 25 years as on 1 January 2012.
For the posts of Maintainers and Track Maintainers: The maximum age limit set for the posts is 25 years as on 1 January 2012.

However, relaxation will be provided to the reserved categories candidates i.e. Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes or Ex-Serviceman candidates, as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Junior Engineer: Candidates are required to have done Matriculation with minimum Three years Diploma course in concerned Engineering discipline or equivalent.

Maintainers: Interested candidates should have done Matriculation alongwith two years ITI certificate course in concerned discipline from a recognized institute.

Track Maintainers: Candidates are required to possess Matriculation as qualification from a recognized board alongwith minimum two years ITI certificate course in Fitter, Mechanica- Mechatronics trade.

Maintainers: Only 52 posts are available.
Track Maintainers: Only 6 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Junior Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 14000-26950 per month.
Maintainers and Track Maintainers: Consolidated salary of Rs. 10170-18500 per month.

Selection Process:

A Written Examination followed by the Personal Interview Test are the two stages of the Selection Process. Candidates will have to qualify in both these stages for securing their selection on desired position.
