Company profile: GAIL is a reputed company and has been given the status of a Navratna unit under govt. of India. It is a premier natural gas company of India and works in the areas like production, transmission, processing, marketing, distribution of gases and allied services. It achieved a turnover of Rs23776 crores in the year 2008-2009.

Job profile: The senior engineers will be required to work on boilers and check for their operations, design, specifications etc. They will be required to prepare a note of the operations and also manage the employees working under them.

Eligibility: A candidate must not exceed the age of 35 years as on 10th October 2009. However, relaxation can be claimed as per the rules.

Educational Qualifications: A candidate must be a graduate in chemical or mechanical engineering with a minimum aggregate of 60% from a recognized university or an institute. A candidate must also have a certificate for the Boiler Operation Engineer and a work experience of minimum 1 year in the relevant field.

No. of posts: The no. of posts is not specified.

Pay scale: The senior engineers will be given a pay scale of Rs24900-50500 plus the other allowances as per the rules.

Selection process: The short listed candidates will be called for a written test and/or an interview.

How to apply: The candidates are required to strictly apply online before 10th October 2009. The candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs200 (only Gen and OBC) in the form of a DD drawn in the favor of Gail India Limited payable at New Delhi. The candidates have to take a print out of the online application and send it along with the attested copies of their certificates to the Chief Manager (HRD), GAIL (India) Limited, GAIL Bhawan, 16 Bhikaji Cama Place, R K Puram, New Delhi-110066

The last date for the receipt of applications is 20th October 2009.
