Exam Pattern and Eligibility requirements for NICL Administrative Officer (Generalist/Specialist) Test
Graduates with 55% marks can apply for ‘Administrative Officer’ for Generalist and Specialist cadre in National Insurance Company Limited (NICL). Selection procedure will be based on the composite scores obtained by the candidate in screening test followed by personal interview.
Eligibility Criterion
Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply. Graduation with minimum 55 % aggregate marks is the basic qualification required. Candidates who belong to reserved category require only 50 % marks. The degree must be passed from any of the Universities of India, duly approved by UGC. The minimum age limit to apply for these posts is 21 years (at the time of recruitment). Candidates belonging to reserved category can avail age relaxation as per the norms issued by the government of India. Educational qualifications required in each of the streams are mentioned below.
Engineering - Graduate degree in Automobile Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering or chemical Engineering is the required qualification.
Health - Graduates in medical sciences (MBBS) from any reputed institutions under Central Council for Indian Medicine can apply. Bachelor degree holders in B A M S or B H M S from Central Council for Homeopathy can also apply.
Finance - Chartered Accountants from ICAI and candidates who have completed M.Com/ B.Com with MBA in finance are eligible.
Actuarial - Candidates who have completed graduation in Statistics/ Mathematics/ Actuarial Science are eligible to apply. They should have passed in at least three papers of the examination conducted by Actuarial Society of India.
Legal - Candidates who have completed graduation in Law are eligible.
Investigator - Graduates from any stream including law, with at least one year experience in investigational assignments with central or state government organizations can apply for this post. Candidates with aptitude for investigational assignments are preferable.
Generalist - Candidates who have completed graduation in any subject from a recognized University are eligible to apply for this post.
Exam pattern
There will be both objective as well as descriptive questions in the written exam. In objective type test, there will be 40 questions from reasoning ability, 20 questions from quantitative aptitude, and 20 questions from computer knowledge. These questions are common for both specialist and generalist posts. Candidates who apply for specialist cadre will have to answer questions from professional knowledge. There will be 80 questions in this section. Candidates who apply for generalist can expect questions from general awareness instead of professional knowledge. Medium of instruction will be English and Hindi. Descriptive section will contain questions from English language. Candidates can expect general essays, precise writing and comprehension in descriptive part. The total mark allotted for descriptive section is 40. Duration of the entire test is 3 hours.

for 12th pass student is there any competitive exam and when it will be held
