Admission to the under graduate engineering courses in Maharshi Dayananda University is carried out on the basis of  national and state level entrance exams such as AIEEE/ LEET exam . Admission to M.Tech programmes are based on GATE scores. Apart from this, the University conducts its own entrance exam for Non GATE candidates.

Eligibility Criterion

Eligibility For Under Graduate Courses - Candidates who have secured a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks in higher secondary level are eligible to apply for under graduate courses. They should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in higher secondary. Candidates having 50 % marks along with three year diploma in engineering recognised by State Board of Technical Education, Haryana are eligible for lateral entry admission. Candidates who have completed graduation in science subjects with Physics and Mathematics can also apply for the course.

Eligibility for Post Graduate Courses - Bachelor of Technology or Bachelor of Engineering in any of the following subjects is the minimum educational qualification required for M.Tech programmes in Maharshi Dayanand University.

  • Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Engineering
  • Information Technology
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Electronics Engineering
  • Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering

Apart from this, candidates who have completed post graduation in Computer Applications/ Computer Science/ Mathematics or Physics are also eligible to apply. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate to apply. Candidates belonging to reserved category can avail 5 % reservation in marks as per the norms of government of India.

Admission Procedure

Admission to under graduate courses is based on the scores obtained in the qualifying degree and national level entrance exam such as AIEEE. Candidates who seek admission through lateral entry are required to clear entrance exam called LEET, conducted by the Haryana Government.

Admission to post graduation programmes is made on the basis of GATE score. Non GATE candidates can seek admission through the entrance exam conducted by the University. There will be hundred questions in the entrance exam. Duration of the exam is seventy five minutes. Candidates can expect objective type multiple choice questions in the entrance exam. Questions will be asked from topics such as Mathematical Logic, Computer Organization and Architecture and Web technologies etc.
