Cochin shipyard invites application for the post of Executive Trainee in various departments whenever a vacancy arises. Graduation with a minimum of 65% marks are eligible to apply for the post. Selection will be based on scores obtained in screening test, group discussion and personal interview. Maximum age limit is 27 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed graduation in Engineering in disciplines such as Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Civil from any university, recognized by UGC can apply for the post in respective departments. Candidates are required to secure a minimum of 65 % marks in aggregate so as to be eligible. Candidates belonging to reserved categories can avail relaxation in marks, as per the norms issued by Government of India.

Candidates who have completed Master Degree in Business Administration with specialisation in Human Resources or in Social Work with specialization in Personnel Management or Labour Welfare & Industrial Relations are eligible to apply for the post of executive trainee in Human resources.

Apart from this, they should obtain a minimum of 65 % of aggregate marks in their graduation. Candidates belonging to reserved category require only 55 % marks to be eligible. Candidates who have completed post graduate degree in Personnel Management with a minimum of 65 % marks in aggregate can also apply for this post.

Candidates who are applying for the post in Finance department should be graduates in any discipline, with a minimum of 65 % marks in aggregate. Apart from this, they should pass in the final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost Accountants of India. Candidates belonging to reserved category require at least 55 % marks in their graduation to qualify.

Engineering graduates specialized in any of the subjects such as Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Masters Degree in Computer Application are eligible to apply for post of IT executive trainee. They are required to obtain a minimum of 65 % aggregate marks to be eligible. Candidates belonging to reserved category require only 55 % marks.

The candidates should not be more than 27 years of age at the time of sending the application. Candidates belong to reserved category can avail age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.

Selection Procedure

Recruitment process will be based on the written test, group discussion and personal interview conducted by the organization. The screening test will contain 100 questions which should be answered in ninety minutes. There will be objective type questions from topics such as General Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, English Language and Technical Aptitude.
