Admission Procedure for AICTE approved Engineering Colleges in Delhi

B.Tech/B.E, M.Tech/M.E and MBA are the main courses offered in engineering colleges of Delhi. Candidates having completed XII class studies with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as subjects can apply for B.Tech/B.E programs. Admission to the course is offered on the basis of engineering entrance exams like AIEEE/ISEET. 85% of the total seats allotted in Delhi Technological University are reserved for students who have passed the qualifying examination from the state itself. Rest of the seats is for Indian candidates outside Delhi.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts an entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates to B.Tech course. The test comprises of 150 objective model questions which must be answered with in two and half hours. Each correct answer carries 4marks to make a total of 600 marks. Score in national level as well as state level entrance exams are also considered.

B.Tech graduates can seek admission to M.Tech programs on the basis of GATE score. Apart from this, most of the Universities conducts separate entrance exam for Non GATE candidates. Syllabus for the exam is much similar to that of GATE exam.

Bachelor degree holders who have studied mathematics as a subject either at graduation or 12th class level can seek admission to MCA course. Admission to the course is offered either on the basis of national level entrance exams like AIMCET or University conducted entrance exams. Entrance exam conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University comprises questions on Mathematics, Computer Awareness, English Language Comprehension, and Analytical Ability. Those who score well in the concerned entrance exam can seek admission after counseling/ interview session.
