Admission Process in Presidency College, Bangalore

Candidates having completed course HSC from any of the recognized board with a minimum of 40% marks can apply for under graduate courses. Those applying for B.Sc in Biotechnology must have obtained the required qualification with Biology as one of the subjects. Admissions are done on the basis of the marks obtained in qualifying examination.

Presidency College offers MBA degree from three different universities, Bharathiar University, Gauhati University and Bangalore University. Graduates with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to apply. Natives of Karnataka belonging to SC/ST category need to hold a minimum of 45% marks only. Admissions to MBA degree offered at Bangalore University are done on the basis of Karnataka Management Aptitude Test or KMAT. Score in MAT / PMAT is considered for admission for MBA programme offered by other Universities.

Candidates with bachelor’s or master’s degree in subjects like commerce, accounting, management and economics can apply for master of finance and accounting. Admissions in this case are done on the basis of KMAT score.

KMAT score is also counted for admission to MCA program. Aspirants for MCA degree must have completed graduation with mathematics/statistics as compulsory subjects either at 12th class or graduation. They should have studied Computer Science as an optional subject at degree level.

Such candidates are requested to reach college with mark sheets of qualifying exams, entrance exam score card, transfer certificate, conduct certificate, etc. Selections are done according to candidate’s marks in HSC and entrance exams.
