Details on LIC AAO Recruitment 2013
Life Insurance Corporation of India has invited application from graduates/post graduates for the position of Assistant Administrative Officer. Selection of eligible candidates is done through an online test and interview. The Online test comprises questions on Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability, General Knowledge and English Language. Applications can be submitted online through the web portal of LIC till 1st April, 2013.
Eligibility Criteria for LIC AAO Recruitment 2013
Bachelor’s master degree obtained from any of the recognized University is the basic qualification required. This qualification must be obtained with a minimum of 55% marks. Minimum and maximum age specified for the applicant is 21 years (as on 1st March 2013) and 30 years respectively. OBC candidates are offered with 3 year age relaxation where as SC/ST candidates can have 5 year relaxation. Physically challenged candidates can have age relaxation up to 15 years, according to the extent of impairment.
Selection Procedure for LIC AAO Recruitment 2013
Selection of eligible candidates is done through an online test followed by interview. Online test comprises of 160 questions for 400 marks. Total time allotted for the completion of the test is two hours. Questions for the test are asked from the following subject areas.
Reasoning Ability
Numerical Ability
General Knowledge & Current Affairs
Computer Knowledge
English Language
- Comprehension
- Grammar
- Vocabulary
Thirty questions will be asked from each of the sections other than English language. Sessions of reasoning and numerical ability carries 90 marks each. For each of the sessions of General Knowledge and Computer Knowledge, candidates are provided with 60 marks. English language session carries 40 questions for 100 marks.
Applicants should pass each of the sessions of the online test to get qualified in the same. Those who pass the written test will only be considered for interview.
Application Procedure for LIC AAO Recruitment 2013
Candidates can submit applications online through the website of LIC. Registration should be done in done in two stages. During the initial registration process, candidates should enter his or her basic details like educational qualification, communication details, and work experience (if any). In this form, applicants are asked for the mode of fee payment, online or offline. Application fee amounts to Rs. 500/-. That selecting offline payment mode can make this through credit/debit card. Others can make use of the fee challan issued from LIC portal for fee payment. Fee payment can be made after two working days of the registration process.
