Life insurance Corporation of India, the market leader in the insurance industry recruits Direct Sales Executives across the country. It is a contract base recruitment for a period of three years. It is basically a marketing job. Sales Executives are required to generate sales and to promote the products and services in the area assigned to them.

Selection Procedure

Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of written test. Objective type multiple choice questions are asked in the written test. The questions in the exam are asked on Sales Aptitude, Numerical Ability, General Awareness and Logical Reasoning. Official website of LIC provides details about the syllabus, venue and time table of the written examination. Successful candidates will be called for personal interview. The selected candidates will have to undergo medical examination authorized by LIC. Successful candidates are required to pass the IRDA test to obtain the license with in a period of three months in a maximum of three attempts.

Eligibility

The candidate should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university in India. Preference will be given to graduates in marketing or management. Good proficiency in English language is desirable. The applicant should complete 21 years of age and should not be more than 35 years of age. Age relaxation for the reserved category is provided as per the prevailing government rules. Relatives of the employees and agents of LIC are not eligible to apply for this post. Applicants having experience in the field of marketing are given priority. Preferences will be given to the candidates having skills in the use of computers.

Application Procedure

Candidates who are eligible can submit their application online in the official website of LIC under the heading “careers”. There is no other mode to apply. Candidates are required to download the Challan form and pay the application fee in the nearest LIC branch. The application fee is Rs. 100/-. SC/ST candidates need not pay the fee.

Candidates can do online registration only after receiving the payment receipt. Candidates have to provide bio data and the details of payment receipt in the application form correctly. Applications will be considered as invalid if it contains errors. There will not be any refund of fees in the case of invalid application. Candidates are advised to take the print out of the application and affix a recent passport size photo on it for future reference.
