PowerGrid is one of the largest and one of the best managed transmission utilities in the world. This company is responsible for inter-state transmission of electricity and accounts for 45% of the total power generated in the country on its transmission networks. POWERGRID got “MoU Excellence Award” continuously for 2006-07 & 2007-08.
Job Profile:
The selected candidates would be sent for a rigorous on-the-job and classroom training in the company’s establishments and as well as in any other management or technical institutes during the probation period of one year after which he/she would be confirmed as Jr. Technician.
Qualification:
The candidate should ne ITI (Electrical) pass from a recognized technical board / Institute. The age limit as on 7.11.2009 is 27 years, which is relaxable by 5 yrs for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 yrs for PH-General, 15 years for PH-SC/ST and 13 years for RH-OBC(NCL). The age should not be less than 18 years. The candidates whose final year results have not yet been declared should not apply.

Location of work: Secundrabad
No. of positions: 22 positions are required including reservations as per the Government of India directives.
Pay Scale:
The selected candidate would get a stipend of Rs. 5,000 during the training period of one year after which he/she would be confirmed as Junior Technician (W-3) with a pay scale of Rs.5000-9590/-
Selection Process:
The written examination is comprised of a written and a trade test which is to be held at Hyderabad on January 24, 2010 after which selected candidates would be called in for an interview.
How to apply:
The candidates shall send their application in an A4 size paper clearly indicating their name, category, father’s name, address for communication, sex, name of institution, board, percentage, year of passing, bank draft number with date of Rs. 50 in the favour of “Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd” payable at Secunderabad (SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from this fee). The application, attested copies of all the certificates and the draft should reach the Chief Manager (IE), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, Sr-1, MCH Complex, R.P. Road, Secunderabad-500 003 by 30th November, 2009.
