Indira Gandhi Engineering College, Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh is a government aided college. It is run in the tutelage of the state government. It is certified and recognized by Rajiv Gandhi Pradyogiki Vishwaviyalaya and has got the approval of the AICTE or All India Council of Technical Education. This private college was established in the year 1981 and currently runs under the control of Dr. S R Nigam who is the principal of the college.

Courses Offered

Under the undergraduate program of the college BE (Bachelor of Engineering) dergree is given to the students. There are various branches in which the college provides the BE degree and they can be named as Information Technology, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. All the courses have the AICTE approval and the maximum intake in all the departments is 60 but for Civil where the intake is only 30.

The aspirants are needed to qualify a written entrance examination with a decent score for getting admitted to this college. The admission form can be collected from the office of the college. The students are needed to fill the specific branch they need to get admitted to in the application form when they appear for their counseling.

Eligibility

The candidate seeking admission to this college can apply only if he/she has qualified the Higher Secondary level examination from a recognized board with a minimum score of 60%. The candidate should also have a good score in the state held engineering entrance examination MPPET.
