Admission to the Engineering courses in AICTE approved Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan is mainly done on the basis of scores obtained in state level entrance test called RPET.  Candidates who have passed higher secondary exam with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate are eligible for admission. The entrance exam is conducted by Rajasthan Technical University. They should have studied Mathematics as one subject in Higher Secondary. Apart from RPET, candidates who have cleared AIEEE exam can also apply to these colleges. Admission to post graduate courses will be on the basis of GATE scores.

Admission procedure in AICTE Approved Engineering Colleges in Rajasthan

Admission to the courses is carried out on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. These institutions consider national level entrance tests such as AIEEE and state level entrance test Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET) for admission process. Admission to programmes such as ME, M.Tech will be based on scores obtained in GATE exam. RPET exam is conducted by Rajasthan Technical University. The duration of the test is three hours. There will be a total of 120 questions. Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each section carries 40 questions. There is no negative marking in this exam. Medium of instruction will be in Hindi and in English.
