Dr. D Y Patil University conducts the entrance examination for the post graduate aspirants of Medicine called Dr. D Y Patil All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Test(Dr. D.Y. Patil AIPGMET). The examination is conducted for the candidates in MD, MS and Diploma or MDS course. The eligible candidates will get admission into the medical institutes under the Dr. D Y Patil University. The examination is conducted every year and all the post graduate aspirants can take this exam. Structure of DR. D.Y. PATIL AIPGMET

The examination follows the MCQ pattern and consists of 300 questions with three and half hours duration. There will be no negative marking for the wrong response. The medium of the entrance examination is English and the syllabus are covered the undergraduate programs in the respective stream.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must be a Indian National. They must complete the MBBS/BDS program under the recognized medical institute in India or foreign countries. The candidates from Andhra Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible to apply for the examination. The candidates must complete their one year internship program from the recognized hospital in the country.

How to Apply?

The candidates can apply for the exam either by online or through the offline mode. The application form is available at the Dr. D Y Patil Research center and one can get the form by the cash payment Rs. 1500/-. The can also get the form by sending a request for application form by mail in the suggested format to the admission office. One can also download the form from the university website. The students can register for the examination by online by visiting the official website.

How to fill the Form?

The detailed information regarding how to fill the form is given there in the prospectus, which is obtained with the application form. They can fill the form with a pen, either black or blue, and enter the data only in block letters. Do not make any mistake while filling the form and overwriting in the form will cause the rejection of your application. The candidates should specify their area of specialization and the given information should be correct in any situation. Make sure you filled every required column and recheck the information given.

The filled form along with the needed documents will reach the admission office before the closing date. The online applicants get the instructions within the website and should follow the guidelines. After registering through online you must take the print out and send it along with the document and DD to the admission office.
