Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences is an institute that offers various blends of medical courses. For DM/MCh course there is an entrance test carried out by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University).This is an All India entrance test. This course offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (University) is approved by Medical Council of India.

Structure of AIMS DM/M.Ch Entrance Test

The pattern of test is multiple-choice manner. Only one paper with two hundred and fifty questions will be there for the candidates. Exam is of duration of two and a half hours. The candidates have to mark the correct answer in the OMR sheet .Negative marking will be there in the exam.

Eligibility Criteria

Age of candidates should be within 35 years till 31st December 2011. Relaxation in the age limit is decided by the institute itself. Candidates should complete their MD or MS from any Institution approved by Medical Council of India. They have also acquired registration from Medical Council of India.

How to Apply?

By paying Rs.2000, application form can be collected from Dhanalakshmi Bank or Federal Bank. It will cost Rs.2070 while collecting by speed post or courier. For applying online, candidates need to access the website www.amrita.edu. DD should be taken for application fee. DD should be taken in the favour of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham .DD should be given with application and should be payable in Kochi. Application should be forward to the address specified below.

How to fill the Form?

The instructions needed to fill the form will be provided on the website while applying online. Incomplete applications are rejected. Late submission of application is not permitted. Credentials if specified should be attested. Candidates should keep the copy of the form for any future need. Whatever entered should be in capital letters.

Score Validity

Candidates need to have a high score in this examination. This score will be crucial for the admission to the course.  The validity of this score is said to be only one year. Beyond this period candidate is not permitted to gain admission.
