Ananda Chandra College of Commerce shortly known as A.C. College of Commerce is located in the heart of Jalpaiguri Town in the state of West Bengal in India. The college was started as evening college with five part-time teachers and 54 students in the year 1962 on the 5th of November in the campus of Sonaulla School. The college was then shifted to another campus in the year 1963 and later in the year 1969, the present campus of the college was constructed and only during this year, the college was affiliated by University of North Bengal.

Courses Offered:

As the name implies, A.C. College of Commerce is meant exclusively for commerce subjects offering both general and honors degree. Honors course is offered only in accounting and other courses in environmental studies, education, Sanskrit, etc… are offered by the college as self-finance courses under Rabindra Bharati University. So, the courses offered under NBU are BBA, B. Com (general), B.Com (hons.) in management, B. Com (Hons.) in accounting and courses offered under RBU are two years distant mode PG course in Master of social work, Environmental studies, Education, Sanskrit, History, English and Bengali

Eligibility for admission:

General Stream: The candidate must have completed 10+2 or its equivalent examination under any council/board in agriculture, commerce, arts or science and admission is based on the marks secured in this examination.

Honors stream: The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 2nd division marks as aggregate.

As far as reservation of seats is concerned, decision is made every year on the basis of the Government order.

Students’ Aid fund:

For the benefit of poor-meritorious students, the college creates an aide fund and to qualify for the fund, the student should perform satisfactorily in the college examinations, should attend classes regularly and should also produce income certificate of the guardian/parents.
