Anchoring courses after 12th
In India media is playing a very important role as an entertainer and information provider to the people. A large number of TV Channels are available in India with variety of Programmes. The craze of people for the radio channels is also gaining pace. In India, after the advent of television the number of people who listen to radio had drastically come down and there were only a limited number of channels and radio stations. Now the situation has changed a large number of media companies have started offering their FM channels for entertaining people. Due to the increasing radio and TV channels the demand for TV anchors and radio jockeys is also high.
Eligibility for Doing the Anchoring course
The students who have completed their plus two can apply for the anchoring courses. Anchoring Courses are generally three months certification course. The candidates who are at least 17 years of age are only eligible to apply for the course. The educational requirements for the course are different for different University or institutions. The candidates who have degree certificate are eligible for the other diploma courses in this field.

Apply for the Anchoring courses
The admission details of the course are published in the official website of the college in which the students intend to do the course. The application forms are available from the institution which offers the course. Candidates can purchase it from the institute itself. An entrance exam is conducted by some University/institutions for selecting suitable candidates for their course. The admission process will be different according to the University.
Fee Structure for the Anchoring courses
The fee structure for the Certificate Anchoring Courses for one semester is about Rs. 50,000/- . The examination fee of Rs.550/- is not included in it, this should be paid in the end of the semester. The most reputed and pioneer institute offering Anchoring Courses is Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC). It offers a two semester course of Post Graduation Diploma in radio and television anchoring. The fee for this course is about Rs. 76,000/-. The candidates who have successfully completed these courses will get jobs in CNN IBN, Times Now, Reuters, FM Stations & Various Print Media Houses.
