News reading and anchoring is more of a confidence oriented job. Beside having academic qualification, one must posses the ability to present oneself in front of camera. In order to become a News Reader one must hold an under graduate degree in Journalism and mass communication. However an aspiring news reader holding a Bachelors degree may join a good Institutes that offer a course in news reading. The National Institute of Technical Studies, Kolkata offers course in News Reading and Anchoring. The duration of the course is 5 months. Beside this one should contact news channels regularly which are recruiting News Readers and in the due time you may also join some lesser known news channels to gain experience and confidence.
