Assistant Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination Exam is conducted by UPSC for selecting eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force.  The exam is conducted only for the employees working in CISF. Exams organized by UPSC are highly competitive and candidates from all parts of our country apply for the exam. The job in CISF is a highly prestigious job. The exam is conducted once in a year.

Structure of Assistant Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Limited Departmental Competitive Examination Exam

The recruitment of the candidates is based on the written test, Physical Efficiency test and a medical test conducted by UPSC. The test comprises of two papers of question. The first paper includes two sections of questions. The test includes 150 questions of objective type format. The first section includes seventy five questions of General Ability questions. Second section consists of seventy five questions to analyze the professional skills of the candidates. The total marks awarded for the test is three hundred.  The second paper is mainly for evaluating the candidates essay writing skills and English language usage. For the correct answers two marks are awarded and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. The total time allotted for completing the exam is two and a half hours. Those who clear the written test will be called for the physical test.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who have a four years working experience as an SI/Exe in CISF are only eligible for applying for the exam. The candidates should have a perfect record of working experience. The upper age limit for the candidates to apply for the test is 35 years. The SC/ST candidates can apply till the age of 40 years. Those candidates who fulfil all this eligibility criteria are only eligible to appear for the test.

How to Apply?

The application form for the exam conducted by UPSC for the selection of Assistant Commandants in Central Industrial Security Force is available from the Office of Sector IGs, Zonal DIGs etc. The candidates can download the application form from the website www.cisf.gov.in.  If there is any unavailability of the form, the candidates can contact the Unit Commanders for getting the form.

How to fill the Form?

The exam prospectus available with the application form contains all the details for filling the application form. The form should be filled by following the guide lines for filling the form. Any error in the filled form leads to the cancellation of the form. The photo of the candidates should be affixed in the application form. The name, date of birth, qualification details etc. of the candidate should be mentioned correctly. The application form should reach the Director General, Central Industrial Security Force before the last date. The form should be send with all necessary enclosures.
