Jharkhand Academic Council was formed in the year 2007 by HRD Department Government of Jharkhand. The council actually came into existence under Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2.7.2003. The coucnil is consist of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and other members. Smt. Lakshmi Singh is the Chairman of the council while Sri. Yamuna Giri is the Secretary. The council is responsible for conducting examinations at the end of Intermediate, Secondary education etc. Initially, the council started its functioning in Rameshwaram (in a rented house). Few other Acts were repealed with the establishment of Jharkhand Academic Council.

Job Profile:

Jharkhand Academic Council is looking forward for making recruitment of eligible Indian Nationals on the posts of Assistant Teachers in various subjects. The posts of Assistant Teacher are available in the subjects of Hindi, English, Home Science, Mathematics, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arbi, Bhagpuri, Bangla, Geography, Farsi, Oriya, Music etc. All interested candidates are required to ensure their eligibility for the specified post before applying for it in Jharkhand Academic Council.

Eligibility:

The minimum age limit set for the post of Assistant Teachers is 21 years as on 1 January 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the post of Assistant Teachers is 40 years as on 1 Janaury 2011.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules and regulations of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will get relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit while OBC candidates will get relaxation of only 3 years.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation degree in the concerned discipline from a recognized university recognized by State Government or Central Government, is the minimum educational qualification required for the post of Assistant Teacher in Jharkhand Academic Council. Candidates should also have possessed B.Ed. degree from a recognized institute of NCTE. The prescribed minimum educational qualification is must for interested candidates or else their applications will not be considered by the council under any circumstances.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates will get the prescribed amount of salary.

Application Fee:

Interested candidates (only General and OBC candidates) should submit an application fee of Rs. 750 only. The amount of application fee that is also need to be submitted by the SC/ST candidates is Rs. 375 only. The submission of the application fee must be done in the form of a demand draft. The demand draft should be made in favour of Jharkhand Academic Council fund payable at Ranchi.
