The institute is spreadheaded by Honourable Chief Minister Smt. Sheila Dikshit. The administrative machinery of the Government of NCT of Delhi is responsible for supporting and guiding the growth of this institute.

A Non refundable fee of Rs. 1000 is need to be paid by all the general and OBC category candidates. Rs. 250 is the only application fee that is need to be paid by SC/ST candidates. The fee must be paid in the form of a Demand Draft only drawn in favour Delhi State Cancer Institute payable at Delhi.
