How should I start preparing for M.Stat entrance exam? Syllabus of the exam?


im currently in my 2nd yr pursuing bsc stats(hons). i want to prepare for ISI entrance exam for m.stat..where should i start from. and what is the syllabus that is covered?

The questions will basically be in the areas of probability and sampling distribution. There will be questions related to conditional probability, standard discrete and continuous distributions, approximation of Binomial to Normal or Poisson law etc. The syllabus and the sample papers are available on the ISI site. You must start preparations now as you will be eligible to apply when you are in the final year. Make sure a systematic approach is followed
