Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University is one among the modern central universities of the country, which was established in 1996. The university campus also known as Vidya Vihar is located in Lucknow. The university offers several post graduate and doctoral courses. Admissions to these courses are made on the basis of entrance examinations conducted by the university. Structure of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University M.A. in History Entrance Exam

The exam consists of both objective type and subjective type questions. There will be 50 objective type questions each carrying one mark. Out of these 50 questions 30 will be from part 1 and the remaining 20 will be from part 2.

There will be 16 descriptive type question, eight from part 1 and eight from part 2. Each question carries 5 marks. A candidate must answer any of the 10 questions from the 16 questions.

Syllabus of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University M.A. in History Entrance Exam

Syllabus is divided into two parts

• Part 1: Ancient Indian History, Medieval Indian History, Modern Indian History
• Part 2: General issues of contemporary relevance pertaining to the social economic, political and cultural scenario.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are having a bachelor’s degree in any subject with a gross percentage of 45% are eligible for the test. (40% for SC/ST candidates)

Application forms can be collected from the Admission Cell, BB Ambedkar University, Vidya Vihar Campus, Rae Bareli Road, Lucknow-226025 by paying Rs.300. SC/ST candidates need to pay only Rs.75/-. Application forms can also be obtained through post along with a demand draft in favour of Finance Officer, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University payable at Lucknow  together with a self addressed envelope of Rs.50/-. Another alternate method is to download the form directly from the official website of the university. Dully filled application forms must be addressed to reach Admission Cell, BB Ambedkar University Vidya Vihar Campus, Rae Bareli Road, Lucknow-226025 on or before the last date of submission.
