Bapujee College, Chhendipada was formed in the year 1977 and it is affiliated to Utkal University. The college is located at about 200 km from the city of Bubaneswar over an area of 37.6 acres. The college aims to develop educationally and socially backward students of the local region by offering higher education.

Courses Offered:

The college received permission in the year 1977 to begin intermediate course in Arts with just a pupil strength of 64. In the academic year 1980-81, the college began to offer degree courses in Arts and from 89-90 science degree courses were started. The courses offered by the college under science and arts faculties are approved by University Grants Commission. The college is also offering remedial courses in some subjects to help needy students. Furthermore, it is planning to introduce new vocational, self-financing and honors courses.

Admission:

Admission of students is made by the college on the basis of the merit acquired in the qualifying education. Every year, out of the total number of seats, 8% and 12% of the seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates respectively. Students with proficiency in NCC, sports and physically handicapped students and children of Ex-servicemen will be given more preference in the process of admission.

Bapujee College is offering several facilities like student common room, magazine, career guidance, NSS, NCC, SSG and planning forum for the benefits of students.

Vision:

The vision of the college is to offer qualitative education to the rural youth for enhancing their socio-economic and cultural growth at an affordable cost and to develop the college to an ideal place of learning in the region.

Career Guidance Cell:

The career guidance cell offers information to the students with respect to different career-related queries and the cell is headed by two staff members of the college.
