Barkatullah University, Bhopal
The Basrkatullah University is located in the capital of Madhya Pradesh or M.P. and was established in the year 1970. The University was named after the great fighter for freedom of India, Prof. Barkatullah who originally belonged to Bhopal. The University in the year 1988 was rechristened as the Barkatullah Vishwa-vidhyalaya. The Campus of the University is very large and covers an area of about 360 acres and is easy to locate because it is located on the NH-12 National Highway joining Jabalpur and Jaipur. The campus of the University is fully modern and has latest facilities for the students. The University has recognized a separate Barkatullah University Institute of Technology which itself is located inside the campus of the main university.
The Barkatullah University offers a bouquet of courses covering all the major aspects of studies and in both graduate and post graduate levels. The Various Faculties under which several courses are there, are Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Social sciences, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Life sciences, and Faculty of Technology. All this offers many courses under each field.
The University has a large Central Library which supports all the courses offered in the University. Apart from this, the University offers hostel facilities for 130 boys and 40 girls in the hostels situated within the campus area of the University. The University also gives other facilities like in Sports and games fields, A computer centre with full Internet connectivity and a health centre. The Institute is Wi-Fi enabled so it makes possible for anybody inside the campus the area to have instant access to the Internet facility without wire lined connections.
Studies are further enhanced to a new level by making use of fast computers, clean and spacious classrooms, Online test giving facilities and use of projectors and conferencing as and when required for better understanding of the areas.
