BHU PMT 2010
BHU-PMT(Pre Medical Test) is an entrance exam for admission to various bachelor medical courses which include MBBS, BDS, BAMS and B Pharm from Banaras Hindu University. Admission to MBBS course is through two levels: PMT Screening and PMT Mains. Only those who qualify in PMT Screening can appear for PMT Mains for MBBS course. Admission to other courses like BDS, B Pharm and BAMS is through only PMT Screening.
Banaras Hindu University is one of the oldest and most reputed universitites in the country which provides higher education in various fields of science, engineering, medicine, literature, social sciences etc. BHU provides medical students with very good facilities, infrastructure and faculty. A large number of students apply every year for medical courses in BHU but since there are only a limited number of seats competition is very tough.
Eligibility criteria:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% marks in aggregate for general candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates. For B. Pharm course a candidate should have got atleast 60% marks for general and OBC candidates and 55% for SC/ST candidates. Those who are apearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply.Also a candidate should be between 17-25 years of age as on 31st December, 2010.
Availability of Application forms for BHU PMT 2010:
Forms for BHU PMT are expected to be available in January 1st week from designated Post Offices across India. The form can also be obtained by post by sending a request for the form along with a demand draft through a registered post.

PMT Screening:May 1st week, 2010
PMT Mains:June 2nd week, 2010
Availability of Application Forms from Post Offices: January 1st week-February end, 2010
Last Date for availability of Application forms by post: 3rd week of February, 2010
Last Date for receipt of Application form: March 2nd week, 2010
