Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research shortly called as SIBER is the top institution among the eight other educational institutions run by Chhatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research Trust. Initially the institute was offering education with affiliation from Shivaji University located at Kolhapur and after the year 1995, it was converted as an autonomous institution.

Admission:
Admission of students to the MBA and MCA course is done by the institute based on the marked secured by the students in the AIMS test conducted by the Association of Indian Management schools. Admission to the Master of Environmental Management and Master of Social Work courses is also done through an entrance test conducted by the institute.
Placement Cell at the Institute:
A placement cell is functioning at SIBER to ensure that students coming out of their institute find good placement opportunities. For the benefit of the students, the cell also arranges for weekly seminars by professionals from IT industry. The cell also conducts annual competitions at National level popularly called as WINIT. This competition is conducted for the purpose of testing the skill level of students in various areas like software development & design, spot programming, computer concept and programming language to hone the bring out the efficiency of the students. The cell also organizes summer training to the students in different educational areas.
Library at the institute:
The library at SIBER has a collection of more than 30000 books on management, 9000 books on computers, 9000 books on social work and 3000 books on environmental sciences.
