Maharashtra Institute of Technology offers B.E, M.E and MBA courses in diverse streams. Admission to B.E courses are offered on the basis of either AIEEE or MHT-CET score. Those who wish to get admission in M.E courses must qualify GATE exam or written test conducted by MIT. Total fee for B.E course and MBA is around Rs. Rs. 90000/- per year.

Admission Procedure

Aspirants who have completed their HSC course from any of the recognized institutes under Maharashtra State Board or equivalent can apply for B.E. Qualifying exam must be passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as subjects and with 50% marks. Residents of Maharashtra should qualify MHT-CET to get selected for the course.  Those from outside the state of Maharashtra should pass AIEEE exam. Diploma holders have the option to join second year of B.E course directly. In such case, admission is offered purely on the basis of merit.

Those who have completed B.Tech/B.E degree from Pune University or any other recognized University can apply for M.E courses in MIT. Admission is offered on the basis of marks scored in GATE exam. Non-GATE candidates can seek admission to the course by qualifying the entrance test conducted by the institution. Graduates can seek admission to MBA course in MIT if they have a good score score in CAT/MAT exam.

Fee Structure in MIT (As available now)

For B.E. course

• Total Fee — Rs. 90399/- per year (for open category students)
• Total Fee — Rs. 6489/- per year (for SC/ST students)
• Total Fee — Rs. 48444/- per year (for OBC students)

Tuition fee amount is Rs. 83910/- per year for open category candidates. Those belonging to OBC category are required to pay Rs. 41955/- per year as tuition fee. University fee and Development fee are Rs. 5874/- and Rs. 615/- (per year) respectively. This fee is common for all category candidates. No tuition fee is charged from SC/ST candidates. They have to pay University fee and Development fee only.

For M.E Course

Total fee for M.E course (any stream) is Rs. 92, 301/- per year. In this total fee amount, Rs. 86, 263/- is to be paid as tuition fee and Rs. 6, 038/- is to be paid as development fee.

For MBA Course

• Total Fee — Rs. 93255/- per year (for open category students)
• Total Fee — Rs. 14750/- per year (for SC/ST students)
• Total Fee — Rs. 54003/- per year (for OBC students)

Tuition fees for open category candidates is Rs. 78505/- and that for OBC students is Rs. 39253/-. An amount of Rs. 5495/- is deducted as development fee, Rs. 755 as development fee, and Rs. 8000/- as interim fees from candidates of all categories.
