Evaluation process of various courses in NIT Calicut

As like other technical institutions, NITC also follows a particular evaluation process. This evaluation technique includes semester examinations, assignments and project evaluation and seminar presentation evaluation. Each of the courses is evaluated based on the credit system as like all the B.Tech degree programmes and has got 180 credits points plus the credit in project. For the undergraduate programmes the minimum CGPA required to pass the semester examinations is 5 in a 10 point scale.

The research programmes are evaluated based on the thesis presentation. Faculties from Nation and overseas will also take part in evaluation process of the research papers. The basic performance of the students is evaluated depending on the seminars, assignments, classroom works, etc.

NIT Calicut Course Admissions

The admission procedures for the undergraduate courses are based on the AIEEE organized by CBSE. Candidates possessing the entire eligibility criteria can apply for this entrance examination. And those who have qualified this examination with good scores will be admitted to the bachelor’s degree programmes.

The admission to the M.Tech programmes and PhD programmes are primarily based on the GATE score and the MCA admissions are done based on the NIMCET.
