Union Bank of India is a leading Financial or Commercial bank with its headquarter located at Mumbai, India. It is the largest state owned bank of the country. Mavila Vishwanathan Nair is the Chair person of the bank. The bank was registered as a limited company on November 11, 1919. The inauguration of the bank was done by Late Mahatama Gandhi. There were only 4 branches of the bank among which 3 were in Mumbai and only 1 was in Saurashtra, in the year 1947. Representative offices were opened by the bank in Abu Dhabi, Shangahi etc in the year 2007. Another representative office was opened in the year 2009 in Sydney.

Job Profile:

Union Bank of India is looking forward to recruit eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the vacant positions of Probationary Officer. Only those qualifed candidates, who hold a valid score card issued by IBPS, are invited to apply for the post.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for the post of Probtationary officer in Union Bank of India. Candidates must have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit i.e. 21 years but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 30 years as on 1 July 2011. Candidates belonging to reserved categories may get relaxation of few years in the prescribed age limit as per the rules of Government of India. SC/ST candidates will be provided atleast 5 years experience in the upper age limit while OBC candidates will get relaxation of minimum 3 years. Other categories candidates will also get relaxation of few years in the upper age limit.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should possess Graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized institute or university. Candidates with Diploma in banking & Finance from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, will get preference over others. Besides this, candidates should also have passed the Common Written Examination conducted by IBPS alongwith a certificate course in Computer Awareness & Office Automation. Candidates having qualification less than the prescribed one, will not be considered eligible for the post.

Pay Scale: A consolidated salary of Rs. 14500-25700 per month, will be given to the selected candidates.

All interested candidates are required to submit the application fee in cash. The payment of application fee must be done in cash through the means of a Application Fee Challan which can be downloaded from the official website of Union Bank of India. The application fee should be submitted in any branch of Union Bank of India. Candidates should keep the counterfoil to them for future reference.

Application fee for General and OBC candidates: Rs. 300 only.
Application fee for SC/ST/PWD/Ex-Serviceman candidates: Rs. 50 only.
