Dasmesh College of Nursing was established under the Sangat Sahib Bhai Pheru Sikh Educational Society located in Faridkot with the view of imparting education to all communities. The focus of the institution is to provide educational and medical facilities to the down trodden strata of the society with particular emphasis on the education of women. The courses offered by the institution are approved by the Punjab Nurses Registration Council located in Chandigarh and Indian Nursing Council located in New Delhi.

Course duration and intake capacity:

The ANM course extends to a period of one-and-half years and the intake capacity of Dasmesh College of Nursing for this course is 40 students per year, while for GNM Course, which extends to a period of three-and-half years, the institute is approved with an intake of 50 students per year. The B. Sc PB Nursing and B. Sc Nursing Courses are approved with an intake capacity of 40 students per year and these courses extend to a period of two years and four years respectively.

Eligibility requirement:

For ANM course, candidates must have completed their matriculation examination from are a recognized board of education and for GNM Course, candidates must have completed Senior Secondary or equivalent examination from a recognized board in any stream of education. Eligibility requirement with respect to B. Sc PB Nursing course is that candidates must have completed their GNM Course of three-and-half years duration and for B. Sc Nursing course, candidates must have completed senior secondary examination or its equivalent examination from a recognized board of education in science stream with not less than 50% aggregate marks in biology, chemistry and physics subjects together.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students to the courses offered by Dasmesh College of Nursing is done based on the merit secured by the candidates in the PPMET examination conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

The campus of Dasmesh College of Nursing is spread over an area of three acres of land and the campus offers open, clean and pollution free educational environment to the students. The institute is provided with well-ventilated classrooms and the nursing laboratories are well-equipped according to the norms of Indian Nursing Council.
