National Council of Educational Research and Training was set up in the year 1961 as an apex resource organization. The organization was established by the Government of India with its headquarters located at New Delhi. The major function of the council is to assist and advice the central and state governments on academic matters related to school education. The council also provides advise to the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare in the implementation of its policies and other major programmes. The council is determined to improve the school education.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the vacant posts of Deputy Secretray/ Regional Director, Junior Accounts Officer, Section Officer and Computer Programmer-cum-Planning Monitoring Officer in National Council for Teacher Education. Candidates will be recruited purely on deputation basis (including short term contract) at its Headquarters (New Delhi) and Regional Committees at Jaipur, Bhopal, Bangalore and Bhubaneswar. Only eligible Indian Nationals are invited to apply for the following vacant positions:

1. Recruitment of Deputy Secretary/ Regional Director:
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

2. Recruitment of Junior Accounts Officer:
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

3. Recruitment of Section Officer:
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

4. Recruitment of Computer Programmer-cum-Planning Monitoring Officer:
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

Eligibility:

Candidates must strictly follow the age criteria set for the specified posts. Candidates must have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit but less than the prescribed maximum age limit, for being eligible for applying for their desired position in National Council for Teacher Education.

Candidates are not required to pay any kind of application fee for applying for any of the above specified positions in National Council for Teacher Education.

Selection Process:

Interested candidates will be have to appear in the Written Test (if required) followed by a Personal Interview Test with the Selection Committee. Only a good performance in the interview test can assure the selection of candidates on their desired position in National Council for Teacher Education.
