Default Re: What is the main difference between group I, II, III, IV?

They are different level of services under Indian Government in which Group I officers at the top and Group II at bottom. Group I officers are selected by competitive entrance examination like Civil Services or State Public Service commission.

Group I and II are gazetted officers whose promotion, transfer, removal, suspension are published in official gazette of government. They are at top level of administration, police etc. Group III and IV are supporting employees of government.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
