Utter Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UP CPMT) is the common entrance examination conducted by CSM Medical University for the admission of Medical courses. Higher secondary course in biology science stream is the eligibility criterion for this exam.

Eligibility Criterion for Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UP CPMT)

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for this examination. Candidates should be a resident of the State of Uttar Pradesh. Those who are non resident of Uttar Pradesh can also apply for this examination. Such candidates are required to fulfill the domicile criteria as per the norms issued by the Government Uttar Pradesh. Higher Secondary education in science stream is the minimum education qualification required for this examination. They should have studied subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in Higher Secondary course. Those who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination from a recognized board of education are only eligible. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe and Scheduled Caste can seek 5 % relaxation in qualifying marks. Apart from this, those who are appearing final year exam can also apply. Such candidates are required to fulfill all the criterions at the time of admission process.
Exam Pattern of Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test (UP CPMT)

Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test comprises of two papers. Paper I contains questions from Biological Science. Most of the questions will be asked from topics such as Botany and Zoology. There will be a maximum of 100 questions in this section. Candidates can expect objective type multiple choice questions. Maximum time allotted for completing this paper is 2 hours.
Paper II will contain 100 objective type questions from subjects such as Physics and Chemistry. Each question carries one mark. Time duration allotted for part II paper is 2 hours. Those who have cleared the Part I and Part II papers will be short listed for a third paper. There will be questions to evaluate candidates’ proficiency in Hindi language usage.

Application Procedure

Candidates are advised to apply to the examination in the prescribed application format. Application from can be obtained from the Head post offices located in the State of Uttar Pradesh and Dehradun, Nainital in the State of Uttar Khand. Apart from this, candidates can obtain application from any of the branches of Punjab National Bank against cash payment of Rs.875/-. Those who are belonging to reserved categories are required to pay Rs.365/- for the application form. Fully filled in application from should be sent to the CSM Medical University within stipulated date. Late and incomplete applications will be rejected.
