What to do after B.Sc. (Industrial Microbiology)?

Microbiologists can work in several areas. Many of them do basic research to increase knowledge about the life processes common to microbes. And that helps to answer basic questions regarding those pertaining to the use of food and oxygen in cells. Many others are employed in medicine and take an initiative to study the relation between microorganisms and certain diseases. Most of students of young generation are not interested to limit their studies in graduation and specialization like Microbiology scores a lot in this aspect. About 75% of the students after graduation in Microbiology are interested to go for higher studies.

For example, many Immunologists study the body’s defensive responses to microorganisms whereas microbiologists study the effects of antibiotics on bacteria. Some are also concerned with the role of viruses in cancer.
