Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University has an urban campus spreaded in an area of 207 acres. The university was established in the year 1964 after the name of first Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. The university has total 29 teaching departments with an academic staff of 29 personnels. There are 180 educational institutes affiliated to the university. The university is considered as one of the oldest institution of Chattisgarh in terms of higher education. Professor Shiv Kumar Pandey is the Vice Chancellor of the UGC affiliated university.
