Doddappa Appa Institute of MCA came into existence in the year 1999 and the college was established by the Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to the Gulbarga University for offering MCA course.

Course details:

As the name of the college implies Doddappa Appa Institute of MCA offers Master of Computer Application course and the duration of this course is three-year, which is divided into six semesters. The institute is approved with an intake capacity of 30 students per year for the MCA course

Eligibility requirement:

For getting into the MCA course offered by the Doddappa Appa Institute of Master of Computer Applications, candidates with graduation in any stream of education like science, commerce, agriculture, medicine, business management sciences, etc… with business mathematics or mathematics at the higher secondary level are eligible to apply. The minimum percentage of marks required in the qualifying examination is 50% of general category candidates and 45% for OBC belonging to Karnataka State alone and 40% for SC/ST category candidates.

Admission Procedure:

Admission of students to the MCA course offered by the Doddappa Appa Institute of Master of Computer Applications is done based on any of scores like PGCET conducted by VTU, Belgaum, AIMCET or Association conducted CET.

Learning Ambience:

Doddappa Appa Institute of MCA offers serene educational environment that encourages learning, the management has provided the institution with intensive learning ambience with air-conditioned classrooms. In addition, classrooms are provided with audio-visual equipments and the institution has a collection of Audio-cassettes and CDs pertaining to education. Students are permitted to use their spare time for watching educational programmes.

These programs are conducted from bringing out the talents of the students and to provide a relief to the students from the hectic classroom activities. These activities are taken care by the student activity cell and the students of the college have won several honors in co-curricular activities and educational activities as well.
