As most of us know engineering education is gaining importance in India these days and with the increasing demand for engineering courses among students, many private colleges were introduce in India very recently in different parts of the nation. Like other parts of the country, the state of Orissa also has many engineering colleges and most of these colleges are affiliated to the Biju Patnaik Technological University offering technical education from the state of Orissa.

Admissions to engineering colleges in Bhubaneswar:

Like any other state in India, the state of Orissa also has its own entrance examination for engineering courses and the same admission examination is followed in the city of Bhubaneswar, which is the capital city of the state. The name of this engineering entrance examination is Orissa Joint Entrance Examination shortly called as OJEE. Even though, most of the engineering seats are filled through this examination, some percentage of seats are reserved for candidates belonging to other states and for these candidates, the marks secured by them in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination is considered for admission to the engineering courses.

Eligibility for seeking admission to the engineering colleges in Bhubaneswar:

For getting into the UG level engineering courses, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream preferably from the higher education board of the state of Orissa and even other candidates with higher secondary from other recognized state boards and central board of secondary education are also considered for admission.
