Nature of Job of Field Assistants:

Field Assistants will have to assistant on the agricultural extension activities at Panchayath and block level in association with agricultural officers and farmers field visits helping in implementation of innovative technology applications.

Indian Institute of Technology & Management has invited appropriate candidates to walk-in-interview for the position of Field Assistants (Agriculture) to be filled on contract basis and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the institute in this respect:

Name of the Vacancy: Field Assistants (Agriculture)

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 27, which is divided among the two districts of the state of Kerala as follows:

• Kannur District – 16

• Palakkad District - 11

Salary: Since the recruitment is on contract basis, candidates appointed for the position of Field Assistants (Agriculture) will be getting a salary of Rs.8000 per month and Rs.2000 as travel allowance.

Eligibility requirement:

Educational qualification: Candidates must have completed their VHSC-Agriculture degree to apply for the position of Field Assistants (Agriculture).

Experience: Candidates must possess one year experience in appropriate field and preference will be given to experienced candidates in the process of recruitment.

Age requirement:

Upper age limit is 40 years to apply for the position of Field Assistants (Agriculture)

Selection:

Selection of candidates for the position of Field Assistants (Agriculture) will be on the basis of marks secured by candidates in written test and interview. Candidates with required qualification will have to attend written test and interview to be conducted in 12th of January and 13th of January 2012 at Kannur and Palakkad Districts respectively. Only those candidates, who qualify in the written test will be invited for interview. When coming for written test, candidates will have to bring detailed resume, original certificates with attested copies.
